About Us

Board our club boat for a 15 minute ride across Northern California’s Suisun Bay and journey a century back in time to experience good hunting, excellent food, and great friends an hour's drive from just about anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Supporting almost a century of waterfowl hunting, the original structure was built in 1926 and has been added onto several times since.  While the exterior is maintained in its historic state, this facade hides the infrastructure required to support a 21st century duck club - reverse osmosis water filtration, WiFi connectivity, a commercial kitchen, fully stocked bar, protected mooring, and experienced resident keepers are just some of the amenities enjoyed by Rich Island members and guests.

Rich Island is one of 158 private duck clubs in Northern California's Suisun Marsh - the west coast's largest contiguous estuarine wetland at 116,000 acres. We occupy a prime 1200 acre triangular wedge of Simmons Island in the south-central portion of the Marsh.

Pintail, Mallard, Teal, Gadwall, Widgeon, and Specklebelly or Canadian Geese are our prime targets.  Members also enjoy hunting a robust wild Pheasant population on our upland acres and access to phenomenal Striped Bass, Sturgeon and Salmon fishing off the dock and in our protected sloughs.
